A Night to Celebrate 100 Years of Ozekiyama Park

Ozekiyama Park, long known as a beloved cherry blossom spot, turns 100 this year. The fireworks festival will mark this milestone with memories of the past and hopes for the future.

Fresh Voices Leading the Way

Students from Miyoshi High School’s “Fresh Club” are taking part in planning and hosting. This year’s theme, MIYOSHI fresh!!! — Moving Forward Together, comes from their ideas. Their energy gives the festival a new spark.

A Festival Open to Many Cultures

Announcements will be made not only in Japanese but also in English, Pashto, and Tagalog, so visitors from abroad can feel welcome and safe. It’s a warm touch that shows Miyoshi’s spirit of hospitality.

“Safe Journey Home” as a Shared Wish

One of the festival’s gentle reminders is “Buji Kaeru!” — a playful yet caring way of saying, “Get home safe.” A small phrase that adds kindness to the whole event.

Light Connecting Everyone

There’s also a moment when the audience will raise phones or flashlights, creating waves of light together. It’s a way to unite hearts and send gratitude and wishes into the night sky.
